     Our academic library is one of the best in the nation, with holdings that scholars request from far and wide. Many items are not available in other libraries – and certainly are not available online. However, our student body is comprised of digital natives from the millennial generation.

Social Networks On Vs. Offline: To Everything There is a Season

     Part of the appeal of online social networks is the ability to do more and to do it faster. One can catch up with hordes of friends in minutes. In our society and economy with its concomitant dearth of leisure time, this is a major bonus associated with online social networking.

Tweets or Twits?

My past experience with Twitter had been very frustrating. I simply didn't get it. Perhaps it was just a bad IPhone application, I don't know. I was just frustrated because it didn't seem clear as to how I was supposed to use this tool. So I gave it up. Now, setting up a new Twitter account in this class was a totally different experience, although also somewhat disappointing.
